Discussion and techniques for allowing young children their childhood in a hurried society.

Discover a variety of breast massage techniques that promote general breast wellness, alleviate engorgement, and assist in clearing up stubborn clogged ducts and mastitis. This session is helpful for breastfeeding parents, those who work with breastfeeding families, and Leaders alike.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently updated their recommendations on breast pump care and handling. Join us to discuss the changes, their impact on pumping parents, and explore proper pump sanitation techniques.

Discussion of loving guidance techniques as they apply to raising teens. The principles of loving guidance can be applied to children of all ages.

Adding a child to your family is exciting and sometimes stressful. One of the largest stresses for American families today is how to control their finances. Join us in an interactive and educational session around how to communicate better as a family, reduce your money stresses, and ensure you are spending your energy on your new family dynamic.
303 Lactation Aids and Feeders: Resources to Promote Breastfeeding While Meeting Baby’s Situational Needs
Joy Narang
While only an IBCLC can diagnose a breastfeeding issue and prescribe a solution, it’s helpful for others in the breastfeeding community to be familiar with the resources available to assist mothers when they’re having difficulty. The right lactation or feeding aid can make an otherwise difficult feeding session less stressful for both parents and baby. Join us for this hands-on session to discuss lactation aids to keep the baby at the breast, cups and feeders to avoid nipple confusion for when baby cannot be fed at the breast, as well as feeders for special needs babies with cleft palate or other feeding issues. Aids and feeders will be part of the discussion and on display.

The importance of kids helping in the kitchen and how to get them involved. Bring your child as we will be doing a hands-on activity!

Explore the significance of the treatment of lip and/or tongue ties, from breastfeeding to adulthood, from the view of an experienced dentist. Session will include videos of babies breastfeeding before and after treatment and the impact of frenum restrictions on orofacial development.

Difficult conversations are like carrying around a live hand grenade. No matter how soft, how hard, or carefully it is thrown, someone is going to be on the receiving end. To not throw it means YOU carry the live hand grenade around. When, why, and how to address a difficult conversation.

Learn how a woman's birth experience can impact her breastfeeding relationship and what information can be shared to help her successfully breastfeed her baby.
404 The Many Benefits of Babywearing

Babywearing is more than just a convenient way to hold a baby. It has been found to decrease crying in newborns, and help with the emotional and physical health of caregivers and babies. Plus, it can be useful with getting things done around the house while keeping babies close and secure. We will cover the many benefits of babywearing and how you can utilize them with your little one.
