Conflict of Interest Statement
The Michigan Nurses Association and the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners require that all approved continuing education activities are balanced and lack bias. Therefore, all presenters and planners declare any vested interests in, or commercial sponsorship for, the continuing professional education activity prior to the event. Participants are made aware of these potential conflicts so that they may form their own judgments about the presentation with full disclosure of facts.
Our speaker and all members of the planning committee had nothing to disclose.

Continuing Education Topics
An application for Continuing Education Recognition Points has been submitted to the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. Topics applied for are designated “CERP.” This activity has been submitted to Michigan Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Michigan Nurses Association is an approver of continuing nursing education by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing. Both IBLCE CERPs and nursing credits have been applied for and accepted.
Family-friendly LLL conferences provide a unique opportunity for professionals to interact with breastfeeding families. The highly technical nature of CERP topics requires both participant and speaker concentration. While quiet children are welcome, we ask mothers to promptly address any situation that may be distracting to others in the session. Professionals should be aware that the CERP experience here may differ significantly from purely professional conferences.
La Leche League is not necessarily in agreement with nor responsible for the statements made by speakers at this conference. Unforeseen circumstances may require the replacement of a speaker or the cancellation of a topic. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
